I have been tasked to assemble images in an image program that can handle images with more than thirty thousand pixels along an edge. The original image was cut into quarters in photoshop 6.0, then rotated approximately thirty degrees. If this rotation was applied to original image it exceeded photoshop file size limit. The quartering of the image left artifact pixels along the edge of the image which shows as a white line when the images are reassembled in the other program. If smaller portions of the quarters are reassembled in photoshop these pixeled lines also appear. I’ve use the clone tool and smudge tool to correct this problem, however this takes a long time (two to three hours). I was wondering if there is not a faster way to solve this problem.

Yes, that’s the interpolation at the edge of the image.

There isn’t going to be an easy way to get rid of it (because you lost data when doing the rotation in PS 6).
