Making Icons

Please, can anyone point me in the right direction of how I can create and then save the icon so it is recognised as an icon.

Purchase an icon editor. It’s a hassle otherwise, and the editors are

(about $30, last I looked).

Hi all

I have been issued a project which involves making 2 Desktop themes and having custom made icons.

Please, can anyone point me in the right direction of how I can create and then save the icon so it is recognised as an icon. I know it must be 32×32 pixels in size and needs to be saved as a .ico file.

So far I have been
unable to get the theme software I am using (Desktop Architect) to recognise it as such.

Your help and advice is much welcomed.
