can’t view psd thumbnails anymore..

I use a little freeware called XNView to preview imgs (recommended to me in this ng..), but now all of a sudden I can’t view .psd thumbnails, at the bottom instead of img being displayed it says "this layered Photoshop file was not saved with a composite image.." I download XNView precisely so I preview .psd imgs.. pls, what could have happened? two days ago I was able to view .psd thumbnails w/no problems.. (I’m on Windows 2000, Photoshop CS..) thank you.. Edit > Preferences > File handling.

Choose "always" for Maximize PSD File Compatibility

Worked for ASDSee anyway…
