sorry if this is a bit off topic to photoshop, cant find an image ready group.

so, webpages made with image ready trigger the info bar, or whatever, with the message:
to help protect your security, ie has restricted this file from showing active content that could access your computer

i guess this is from the javascripting that controls the rollovers, but i have other pages with javascript that IE doesnt seem to mind.

what is exactly that IE doesnt like about image ready rollovers? is there a workaround?

what can i change in my browser to get it to quit bugging me about this stuff, but still stay protected against installing a bunch of crap that i dont want?

here is an example:

I view the rollovers just fine. But then I have yet to install Service Pack 2 for XP. You may need to go into your Internet Options fir IE and reconfigure the settings. I usually create my buttons and rollovers in Photoshop but use Dreamweaver to assemble them.

Peadge 🙂

You haven’t read about the IE updates on the Microsoft site have you. They’ve been warning that people would need to change how some coding is done on sites for about 9 months now.

I can’t remember the KB number but if you should be able to find it if you go to the MS support site.

well, i have now. i just got xp a couple weeks ago, so never ran into the problem. apparently, it only affects pages that you are viewing from your computer, not page that are up on the web. i thought that remote pages were doing this too, but its hard to remember if you’ve turned off the warning, etc.

anyway, thanks for the response, and later days,
