Silver letters…

I need to write some text in a approx. 18-24 pt font on a black background and have it appear as silver… not just grey, but "metallic" with dark grey shadows and almost white highlights.

Does anybody knows of a filter or a step-by-step tutorial to acomplish this… or perhaps be willing to post step- by-step instructions to get the desired effect?
