best pc desktop for graphic designer?

I am in need of an upgrade of my desktop system. I freelance graphic and web design. Can any one tell me what are the best pc computer systems out there today? The system I have now was built for me years ago. It is a celeron cpu 1.7ghz with 512mb ram. I keep getting the low memery when I am using Photoshop.

pentium 4… > 3ghz. intel mobo. 865 or 875 chipset. 1 gig pc3200 400 mhz ram or more. ati or matrox video card (depending on how much games you play, you don’t need the best 3d cards on the market). serial ata hard drive – 160 gigs are reasonable.

Stay away from Gateways…we have had no end of problems with these machines! Best bet is to build your own!
