I have the same problem. I am using Windows XP and a couple days ago, my Photoshop 7.0 quits after the loading process. Imageready and other programs still works without a problem. Tried reloading Photoshop 7.0, defragmenting the hard drive, and checked for viruses. So far, nothing seems to work.
Don’t know what caused the problem or how to correct this problem. Let me know if anyone has any suggestions.
George
You have the same problem as Enigma, so I would advise that you too take Bob’s advice [reloading PS did not achieve this BTW].
no one ever reads the first post syndrome strikes again! 🙂

So when I respond to an initial posting, I should do it twice? 🙂
only if you want someone to see it… 🙂
Trashing the Preferences fixed the problem.
Thanks for the advice.
I have PS 5.0 and it was working fine. I added a new video card: XTASY 9200 SE 128mb AGP and now photoshop will not load. The splash screen starts and it disappears after "initiating ICC engines" appears I tried the suggestions on removing the photos50.ini but that did not work. I am using Windows XP. Help!!!
