In attempting to set the Color Settings in the Edit Menu, it does not make any difference which profile I load in the Settings or Workspace RGB . When I click Preview on/off in the Color Settings dialog window there is no change in the image regardless of which profile I have selected.

I am using Windows XP HE, PS CS and the ColorVision hardware calibration system with a ViewSonic 19" G90f CRT.

The color profile created with the ColorVision Color Plus hardware results in a very bright, washed out display even though the before and after screens previewed at the end of the calibration session appear to be a reasonable brightness. But that is not what I see when I quit the calibration program. The desk top and all program screens appear too bright with low contrast. The contrast control on the monitor is set to near maximum and the brightness is set to just above mid point.

The Windows Display in the Control Panel show the ColorVision profile as being in effect. I have the same profile selected in PS CS Color Settings.

I’m following the procedures described in Ben Willmore’s CS Studio.

Blessings to the seventh generation on anyone who can resolve this enigma.
