Update Photoshop 7.0 to 7.01?

If it’s anything like Microsoft they expect you to have the original CD in the drive

If you’re running a legal version of PS, call Adobe.

If not, buy one.

There is NO software that requires you to disable your firewall. That’s just stupid. It takes about 20 seconds for an unfirewalled copy of Windows to be infected by remote viruses (if unpatched). If software tells you to turn off your firewall, dont use it. Too dangerous.

I’d agree, but you can do it if you disconnect first (yes, it’s a pain and I’ve never done it, but it is a solution).

It did not ask me to disable the firewall. I did that together with anti-virus, and everything else I could think of to solve the problem.

As far as I know the newest Adobe products in general, don’t just need the registration with serial, but software also has to be activated, otherwise you still have 30 trial version, at least all myine needs it….even if you bought the program in a shiny new box…. so guess there could be small chance of firewall screwing things up, or you could also have to call Adobe and activate that way but still need "kosher" copy of application.
