Unable to Install Adobe Camera Raw 4.3.1 Update

Vista OS…..Auto Updates set for Adobe. Notified this Update was ready to install….when I click install I get…..Adobe nneds attention…the following needs to be closed…."Photoshop Elements File Agent.exe". I have looked in Task Mgr, Processes, Startup.ini…..Photo Elements File Agent.exe is not running. I have gotten this notice twice….experienced same results…so I click on Quit Update.

Anyone else experience this problem with this Update? Anyone resolve the issue and get the Update to Install?

Forget Auto Updates and download the ACR 4.3.1 download from the Adobe download site. Then install it in accordance with the instructions on the download page.

The Adobe updater is broken and causes nothing but grief.

In that case, since this "Photoshop Elements File Agent.exe" appears to be associated with Photoshop Elements try posting in the Elements forum.
