Photoshop CS plugin for Nikon D2X NEF

I just was lucky to get a Nikon D2X, but can’t open the files without Nikon capture. Is there a CS plugin that will work instead?

D2X is not on the list for Camera Raw 2.4 or DNG Converter 2.4 as you probably already have found. I’d be interested to hear if there is a current answer. Can’t be far away.

Hi;

I would advise you to consider Nikon Capture 4.2 it has a number of very good features.Some of them are, imho ;better than those found in PS.Downloading has to be done with Picture Project .

Your D2x should be the same as the other Nikons D1, D100 ect,

You must install both Nikon capture and Nikon view so that all the correct files and librarys are installed,
then you will be able to use photoshop CS to open the RAW .NEF files.

I have had no problems with Photoshop CS and Nikon D100..

Only if Nikon installs a D2X compatible Photoshop plugin as well.

That doesn’t say anything. Adobe CameraRAW supports the Nikon D100, so it’s logical you have no problem with your files. However, ACR does not yet support the Nikon D2X.
