hello,

I’ve got a problem running Photoshop CS from a user account without Administrator privileges. It appears that the program has started correctly but an error messages appears.
It says:

"Current user account does not have the privileges to perform product activation. Run this application from a user account with administrative privileges or contact your system administrator"

I installed the program as an administrator and it works fine. If I give a user admin privileges it will also work fine, however once the privileges are removed it reverts to the same problem.

I’m running Windows XP.

Any help would be appreciated.

Alan

Sweet Len. Is that in the faq yet? I’ll never be able to find it again if not! 🙂

Cheers for the help but this hasn’t helped either.

Additional things I tried:
1) Gave the user account all security privileges for the Registry and
2) Gave the user security privileges for all files and folders on the C drive.

Despite this I still had the same error.

Any ideas?

Dave,

It is now.

Alan,

Sorry, but I’ve no further suggestions to offer. Suggest you call Adobe Technical Support. There should be no charge for support on this.
