Thought I’d already asked this… but didn’t see it appear.

The effects options dialogs (PS 6) for Bevel/Emboss include Overlay and Stroke, but they are seemingly a default colour, either red or blue. I want neither… is there a way to change them? I cannot see a palette or other tool for this purpose. Any ideas ?

Double-click on the small color swatch in the layer effects dialog to bring up your color picker.

Those swatches are only for Highlight and Shadow in the basic bevel and emboss. These swatches will not change the Stroke or Fill.

Any other ideas ?

You need to go to the "Color Overlay" and "Stroke" sections of the Layer Effects dialogue to set those colors. You won’t see the colors change in the Toolbar.

You’ll see the little rectangular swatches BLU is talking about. You won’t see the colors change in the Toolbar.

Explore and experiment a little bit, Mike! You won’t break anything, for jeeber’s sake!
