How do I insert a picture into another picture in Photoshop 8.0?

It is easy. Open the image that will be the background destination. Note the size and resolution. Now open the smaller image and make sure it is the same resolution and that it is small enough to fit on the other. Make sure also that you have double clicked the thumbnail of both images in the layers palette. That makes them layer zero, which is an executable layer. Now, using the move tool, drag the 2nd image onto the bigger target background. Lower the opacity of the now top layer in the layers palette so you can see where it shows. Move it till you like the position. Now click Layer > Add Layer Mask > Hide All. Now click on the brush tool … making sure the foreground color is white. Select a soft brush and "paint" in your top image starting in the center. You can "feather" the edges artistically by lowering the opacity of the brush as you paint in the outside edges. If you paint too much you can click X and paint out what you did and then click X again to switch back to the white brush. Once done flatten. Enjoy;
