Am using p/shop 7 with an epson stylus photo 310.Everthing has been going fine
until the printed pics started turning out very dark. compared with the monitor . I am using the default settings
as I know little about p/shop,.I have now reloaded p/shop but no difference. The strange thing is that if I am printing from Ifran view, publisher or printing
direct to a cd disc the prints are perfect.Have reset the monitor calibrations as
well with no difference.

Thank you

The problem is probably with your Photoshop printer settings. Make sure you specify "Use Printer Color Management" in the print dialog that comes up just before you print.

Is there away to adjust the contrast? I’d look for something like that and do a test print to see what kind of results you get.

I have the same problem, but with PhotoShop CS. I can’t see where the setting you are talking about is.

In CS the option is available under File>Print With Preview, under "Show More Options", and "Color Management". Select "Document" as the source space, and "Printer Color Management" as the Print Space.

BTW – there are a number of other settings that can cause dark printouts – I think this is the most likely problem.

Changed the settings to "printer colour management" and its 100% better .
Many thanks.
