How do i clear memory on the scratch disks?

Photoshop keeps saying i can’t open a new document because the scratch disks are full. How do i delete memory on them to open up space?

How do i delete memory on them to open up space?

erase unused programs, empty the temp folder, etc.

Also, while you’re working, you can try Edit—»Purge—»Purge All… to free up space. Good if your scratch disk or partition is too small to begin with, and you’re working on large files that really tax the amount of free space you have.

This will ditch your history states, so think hard about it.

Something else to think hard about is a new harddrive. They’re cheap enough and if you’re getting this error alot, you need one.
