The image captured from an experimental camera is saved by the image capturing software (built by us) as 16 bit/pixel uncompressed tiff RGB image file without using any color management (CM). The image can be captured at a gamma of 1 or 0.45. When I open the file in photoshop, I get the message that whether the file should be opened without CM or with CM. I open the file without CM. I don’t do any modification in the image except reducing the size of the canvas. I then save the file as uncompressed tiff without using any ICC profiles. It is very important that the image data stays in the same condition as before opening it using Photoshop. Now I would like to know if PS7 changes the data structure of the image (gamma, pixel values etc.) even if I don’t use any color management.

Thanks in advance!

Unless you save over the file or edit the file metadata in the filebrowser, Photoshop doesn’t modify it.
