I want to know as you are going through the font list can you make the font appear on the text you have selected to change.

Photoshop CS
Windows XP

MacBook Pro 16” Mockups 🔥

– in 4 materials (clay versions included)

– 12 scenes

– 48 MacBook Pro 16″ mockups

– 6000 x 4500 px

In PS 8.0
Just hightliight the the font list ( top tool bar) and use the arrow keys on your keyboard

Is the character pallet menu the one under Window/Character as this doesn’t seem to work for me, I get the font list in the same old boring (and not too helpful) format. (I’m cs and xp also)

You’re looking for a drop-down list of Font Family names to be displayed in the typeface the name represents?

No. Not in Photoshop.

Besides, at such small sizes, they’re hardly representative of what actual-sized text would look like.

The listings won’t display the face – only text already typed will

Its a shame there isn’t a way to view the fonts from within PS.
