Hi, is there a way to rotate a layer i Photoshop, not just rotating the whole image.

Problem am trying to make a collage out of sveral small photos (polaroids) and am trying to allign them to one another. In Elements you get the option of rotating whatever you paste, but the quality is not as good when i transfer them from photoshop.

Highlight the layer you want to transform, and then press "Ctrl-T" to bring up the transform tool. Rotate to taste, and press "enter".

CTRL + A (select all on the Layer that’s active);
CTRL + T (to invoke the Free Transform Bounding Box)
You may have to Zoom out to grab the Transform Box’s handles.

You could also CTRL + Click on the layer in the Layers Palette, then invoke Free Transform.

Transform, then hit the Enter key.

[EDIT: And doing what Jon said will work as well. Usually there are several ways of doing things in Photoshop]

To add on to the two previous posts. If you want to rotate it to an exact degree, i.e. 90°, in CS, you can simply enter the degrees in the new context sensitive option bar.
