Hello,

I create shapes (polygons), and each time I create a new polygon by polygon tool,
the polygon is created at a new layer.

Can I :
1) move polygon (or any other shape) from one layer to another layer ?
2) keep that there won’t be created each time a new layer automatically, for
each shape I am creating ?

Thanks 🙂

Hold the shift key while the the polgon shape layer is still active, and it will add a new polygon, to the same layer,
or alternatively, up on the Options bar there should be 5 additional icons, choose the one that says ‘Add to Shape Layer’ when you mouse over it…

that should help ya
cheers

That’s how it works

You can merge by linking and choosing Merge Linked form the Layers Palette flyout, or Merge Down or if there’s just the\h two visible Merge Visible. Or you can flatten.

Don’t use the Shape tool in vector mode. Choose from the little icons on the left side of the Options Bar which kind of shape you are making (Raster, Vector Shape or Path). Or use the marquee tools and fill the selection.

This is all explained in the manual. You should take a look through it and carefully read the sections on the particular tools you are using.
Thanks 🙂
