Can we have a combined mac/PC professional users forum please – for designers and photographers. This is not meant to be snooty, most program queriers are the same for mac and PC, and photoshop has a huge user base now – most people starting out in PS know there are many pro features of PS that they wont get to for a few years, so wont be interested in them and vice versa for the pro users with the "what resolution" and "how do I resize" questions

It’s the wont of many professionals to communicate clearly with their peers and adoring fans.

Maybe your fans will learn from you, if you will only give them a chance.

There is a designer forum and a photography forum that are not platform specific. The traffic in the application forums is simply too high to have them combined. And PS is the busiest of all them.

As a forum host, I frequent the Win and Mac side of InDesign, Pagemaker and Creative Suites, but don’t go near the Photoshop Mac forum. There’s simply too much going on.

Ture imaging professionals use a mac, but not spell check.

No,

I want to see your copy. really.

People in this industry now days don’t set type correctly.

and why would you think otherwise?

I have no interest in you. Only your ability to prove your point.

I’m ready to kill myself. I’ve been a photographer for over 25 years and now, thanks to Mike, I just realized that I’m not a PRO because I do my digital work on a PC. What a fool I have been…

So, the only honorable thing to do is refund all the fees you’ve collected from all your past clients. Sorry about your luck.

Ho, You have a valid point. However, I can’t return it all because I spent some of it on this worthless (NON PROFESSIONAL) PC.

Geez, I had to endure a "true professionals use Macs" speech Wednesday. Why are these people so insecure? Why do they care if us mud people use PCs? I guess it just galls them to see good work come off a PC.

And now I think our OP sees why there are separate forums.

I use all platforms and it’s just that some_ARE_better designed for specific uses.

If you are too poor to buy a Mac, I understand.

Must be the lack of work due to your professional status.

I have refrained from entering this silly flame war, but … could you tell me ONE thing that I can do with Photoshop on one of my Macs that I cannot do with it on one of my PCs?

Well, there are differences in features, between Mac and PC. They are small, but they are different.

My intention is not to flame. I really don’t care if you use a toaster to cook your meat loaf.

Don, this is NOT a flame war, this is just some foolin’ around. If you want to be in a flame war, write to Scott Kelby and ask him the same question.

Toasted meat loaf, anyone?

I prefer to toast my loaf on an overclocked slab of mm-mm-good Pentium.

Separation = Good

Quarantine (before Mac fanatics could post here) = better

Brains (necessary) to recognize professionalism = PRICELESS
