WHAT FILE TYPE DID YOU SAVE AS? THERE ARE ONLY A FEW FILE TYPES THAT SUPPORT LAYERS, SUCH AS .PSD AND .TIF
IF YOU SAVED AS ANY FILE TYPE THAT DOESN’T SUPPORT LAYERS THEN YOU HAVE LOST THEM.
ALSO, IF YOU HAVE MERGED ALL LAYERS TO A LOCKED BACKGROUND LAYER YOU CAN DOUBLE CLICK THAT LAYER TO UNLOCK IT.

SOME PROBLEM/DEFECT HAS APPEARED IN MY PHOTOSHOP.
WHEN I GO TO MOVE TEXT OR PICTURE IT JUMPS TO THE BACKGROUND LAYER EVERYTIME. SO THE ONLY WAY TO MOVE THE POSITION OF TEXT IS TO HIT THE ARROW KEY WHICH IS A SLOW AND ARDUOUS WAY TO MOVE THINGS AROUND.
HOW CAN I REPAIR THIS PROBLEM – WILL I HAVE TO RELOAD MY ENTIRE PHOTOSHOP CD AGAIN.
ANY SUGGESTIONS?
MAKE SURE AUTO SELECT LAYER IS NOT CHECKED WHEN YOU USE YOUR MOVE TOOL LESLEY

virgilio62, your country is not the world. The majority of the Internet, which encompasses the world considers a post in all caps to be RUDE.
It is not a waste of time to try to teach those such as yourself how to interact properly on the Internet. It is far more stupid to ignore the efforts of others to help you learn how to use the internet. Especially since they do take the time to try to teach you things you did not even know existed, such as proper posting habits.
Read and learn…
Not to mention that all capitals are just more difficult and tiresome to read. There are some people who will refuse to even read a post in all capitals…and one of those people just might happen to be the very person who has the answer to your question.

Ol’ Whozit, typing in all caps may be considered rude but it is nothing in comparison to the harsh words and unbelievably intolerant attitude you have used against many people in this forum, particularly newcomers who have innocently crossed your path. Perhaps you could learn something yourself about how to interact with people or is it too late?

Give it up, Mick Murphy. I’m way too old and set in my ways to even consider trying to change, much less caring to.
My post was to inform virgilio62 why people "waste time" telling him not to post in caps…Personally, I could give a rat’s behind about it one way or t’other. But virgilio62 might actually care about "proper interactions…"
