I have a picture that I do not want to distort the image of. However, I would like to put a shadow around 3 sides so that it "comes off the paper" … adding some dimension, but again, not doing anything to the original image.

How can i do this

Thanks

make your image into it’s own layer and then make the canvas size bigger so you then have room for the shadow. then add a drop shadow to your layer

Thanks … i tried to do it but I guess I didn’t do it right!

I made the canvas bigger and got the checkerboard … and found the drop shadow but it was blurred shadow … I want to be able to crop around the "drop shadow" and then have a picture with the depth of the shadow.

Perhaps I did the layering wrong?

thanks

play with the sliders in the drop shadow menu to get the edges sharper
