After installing a Nikon program, if I go to PS CS or 7 or Elements, I get the error message System has failed to start because Asteroid6.dll can’t be found. PS then loads okay, but won’t recognize RAW files. If I open Nikon View first, then edit from there to PS CS, PS opens fine and recognizes RAW. Clearly the Nikon programs (I also had Nikon Capture on briefly) did something, but my question is, does it matter as long as I can go through View to get to CS?

If you like the CS RAW converter, and don’t need the Nikon software, just uninstall it. CS RAW conversion works fine for me, I don’t use the Olympus software that came with my camera.
