Just curious if anyone knows just how much better Photoshop 8 is going to be in regards to 16-bits per channel support than the current version. As someone who is into digital photography (Canon EOS 10D) and shoots primarily in the RAW format (as a good many who care about color do) it would be nice to see better 16-bit support. In fact, I wish everything was accessible while working on 16-bit images (layers, cut/paste, filters, etc). I don’t ever want to have to go to 8-bits per channel at any time if possible. Thanks.

Everything I have read uses the word "Tweaked" 16-bit support. God only knows what that means and the last time I look she was scratching her head. 😉

I doubt that means for 16-bit support. But one can always hope to be surprised.
