Trying to set up Color Magement with PS7 on Win XP (Home). This is a new PC, and I have downloaded the Color Profile for the HP Monitor, and now am trying to set up HP Deskjet printer. Is there any known point of reference for getting HP Deskjet color management profiles.

Reason for setting up HP is that also bought new Epson Photo printer and that’s made my hair go grey trying to get rid of the red hue on printing, hence temporary regression to old HP!

Many thanks

Russell

As I learned recently, a magenta shift in a color managed system can be caused by applying the ICC profile both in PS and in the print driver. Either turn off the print driver color management and let PS handle it (which seems to be preferable) or vice versa.

I don’t believe OEM profiles exist for any of the HP printers.
