Hello
I am wondering if someone could tell me which colour profile I should be using when creating CD artwork
It is currently set at
Workspace: US WEB COATED(SWOP) V2.
I really have no idea what to do. or the differences.
I am using photoshop CS2.

Regards
Jacqueline

I have no idea what US WEB COATED is to know what type of Color Profile you want or need. Here

– I calibrate the monitor using hardware monitor calibrator (I use Eye-One II Display)

– And printer profile to match the printer I am going to print with (either your own printer or the lab’s printer). Many labs have their printer profile available to download, if not just find out what printer they use and try to find a similar from other lab (may not match 100% but better than wrong printer).

US Web Coated (Swop) V2 is just another CMYK profile. Whether this is the right profile to use depends on where and how your artwork is going to be printed. Ask them what profile to use (or to provide you with a profile to use).
