Photoshop 7.0 startup problems

Hi, just recently, whenever I try to run Photoshop 7.0, it starts up normally with the opening screen, but then photoshop just disappears before it opens up to the workspace. I have 192 MB of RAM and have been using photoshop problem-free up until today. I have Windows XP and have run defrag and uninstalled and reinstalled photoshop 7 several times. All the other Adobe programs run fine. Any advice? Thanks.
