Recently I decided to bite the bullet and install photoshop CS to see if the hype was worth it (yes, I know, stupid to buy stuff without research), and I have decided that it WAS worth it! Great. The problem is that I wanted to uninstall photoshop 7, but had no clue HOW. I tried the add/remove programs, but the icon seemed to have vanished after installing CS. Now after combing through the forums, and looking at various CS bugs, I’m not even sure if I want to uninstall it anymore.

1) Would you recommend uninstalling photoshop 7, or keeping it for things like filter speed, faster opening of files, etc.? (Or maybe just nostalgic value…)

2) If not, how do I proceed to uninstall it?

Thanks a lot!

I still have PS 7.0 on my system and have no intention of uninstalling it. I still use 7.0 for files over 200 megs.

I agree with Bob. No question, don’t uninstall 7. You may never need it for the work that you do, but the ONE day you need it, you’ll thank yourself for having it on.

Peace,
Tony

Alright, thanks. Apparently the uninstall bug is useful.
