I’ve got 2 machines running Windows XP and Photoshop 7. I just upgraded both machines to Service Pack 2 and now I’m having touble with converting RGB images to Index color. When I save the converted images and reopen the new file…the images are still RGB.

Is this a known issue? Is there a work-around?

Thanks!

I don’t think that it is possible to save JPGs as indexed image. there lies your problem.

jp,

That’s what I thought. Pierre is correct. If you want to save index color images you can just save to GIF instead.
