Per the subject…
I am trying to create an action to add "photocorners" that are in layers in one document to an image in another document.

I would like to do this as an action as I have over 30 images to add the photocorners to. I thought creating an action to copy the photocorners layer from the model file would do it.

However I haven’t found any advice on how to successfully copy a layer from one document to another document.

Any advice ?

Thanks

Try using Duplicate Layer with the other (open, current) document as the target (Destination).

Another way is to Copy the photocorners to the Clipboard before running an action that simply Pastes. You don’t need to Copy it every time.

Create a dummy document, click the action’s record button, record the process of copying the corners to it, and click stop.

Hi there,

I use a script to do this. You can see a sample of what my script does here.

The script is available here.

It’s the second one down.

Have fun.

George,
you have slightly answered a question I was going to post…

I want to make an action for CS3 that can be used as a batch file too,

This action would be to put a watermark on my images that I post on the net, or preview image CD’s. I would like the action to be placed in the same position on all of my images. on your site is a java action, but it does not say where to put it, and how to modify it to put "my name" …

I have tried, but the action I make puts the wmk ‘(c) 2007 / Kevin Kienlein’ in various places and sizes so I have not done the right things yet…

if you or anyone else has a hint, a site, or an action I could use it would be most appreciated… (I am pretty new to CS3, so it would be helpful to know where to put it too…)

tnx a bunch kk

A QuickTime tutorial by Russell Brown called "Watermark Branding" at: http://av.adobe.com/russellbrown/BrandingSM.mov
and the sample watermark action used in the movie can be downloaded at: http://www.russellbrown.com/tips_tech.html under "Adobe Photoshop CS2 tips" then down to "Digital Watermark Branding"

I think this does what you want (watch the Movie)
