I’m trying to make a dvd label. I have a red sky background, and I’m trying to make a white oval outline so I can put a volume number inside. I mean an oval with a white outline and transparent inside. But I just cant get it right. I’ve used Elliptical Marque tool for the shape and tried to fill it with white and make another one to delete the inside, but its not as ?sharp/crisp, basicly you see the color turn from white to pink to red. I want to do it so you just see white and red, no pink.

I’ve also tried the Ellipse Tool, using no stlye and the ‘exclude overlapping shape area’ option, but I get a black outline. I’ve also tried to do the oval in black then invert the color, but I still get grey in oval, I cant get a solid white oval outline. If anyone can offer any help, thanks in advance.

If I get what you mean, then use the elipse selection tool and then stroke it. I must be missing something.
