How do I use print-screen with Windows Media Player? It does not seem to work out when I attempt to save a film clip, anymore.

Using Windows Media Player 10, goto Tools>Options>Performance tab>click the Advanced button. In the dialog that pops up, under Video Acceleration…uncheck "use overlays". Then you’ll be able to press ALT+print screen key to print the current window (the media player window). "William Kazak" wrote in message

….the downside being that video will take a lot more CPU resource when you turn that off. Another trick is to open TWO video windows. Windows is only able to run one port at once, so one of the videos will be rendered through the desktop. This will temporarily allow you to do screenshots.

That sounds like the solution. I was wondering why I suddenly had a "moving palette" to deal with. Previous versions on Windows Media Player never gave me a problem using "Print Screen".

As you cant easily run two media players at once, I usually fire up DIVX player and WMP and then do captures (if I cant be bothered to do it via Premier).
