Hi,

I was wondering how I might create something that looks like a ribbon. I want it to have depth, so it is kind of 3D. Is this possible with photoshop? Or would I be better off using a vector based program or a simple 3D program.

thanks!

I’d say 3D is the way to go, but that’s just me. I like 3D.

thanks for your suggestion. What program would you reccomend? I actually learned how to use Maya at one time, but I’d rather not relearn it just to make a simple ribbon. Plus I don’t have a copy of it anyway and don’t know if I even a computer that handle Maya. Anyway, if you have any software suggestions that would be great. 🙂

thanks

I use 3DS Max, but pretty much any 3D program should be able to do it. You do need to know a little bit about the program first, of
course, so it’s really a matter of personal taste. (And budget…)
