I have PS CS and want to transfer a texture on one photo to lay it on an object in another photo.

If I have a grey box in one photo and a box with a tweed covering in another how can I take the tweed and overlay it so that they grey box is now tweed?

Almost like in the commercial for carfax where they change car colors at will.

I am somewhat new so some detail will be helpful.

Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Your solution depends on the images.

Could you please post a link to an image showing a side-by-side comparison of the gray box and the tweed box that you intend to use. Please, then explain whether the side-by-side image you post is at full resolution. If they’re not, post the sizes of the marquees you used to select them from their original source files—in pixels (look at the Info Palette to get the sizes)—no need to worry about telling us the resolution.

You’ll get better help, more quickly that way.
