Using Photoshop CS, I am selecting Automate – Batch – Save for Web. I complete the options including the Destination Directory.

When I click OK, I get the error message: "Could not complete the Action, since the destination folder does not exist." Of course the folder does exist and I have tried a variety of different locations.

I assume the error message is misleading or incorrect, but no file is saved. Can you help me get this to run?

Peter,

When using SFW, the folder encoded within the action takes precedence over the batch dialog destination options(including naming). So you will have to specify the appropriate folder within the action itself, if you use SFW.

I personally wouldn’t use SFW in batch – I would rather create an action that uses save as Gif or JPG. That way you have more control, and there isn’t any real benefit to SFW in batch mode.

Peace,

Tony’s advice is right on.

If you find you must use SFW for the smaller file sizes or whatever reason(s): * Go to google.com
* Click on Groups
* Then search on:

"destination folder does not exist" photoshop

Among the threads were a couple things you could try that might get you around this one.
