Greetings to those reading.
I need to know why I suddenly have a stubborn filter. When I attempt to access my filters>textures>grain, a window that I’ve never seen before pops up stating: "This effect uses the foreground and background colors. Since they are the same, all details in the image will be lost. Please ensure that the foreground and background colors are different."
I have no idea how to overcome this obstacle because I’ve used this filter millions of times on the same pictures without any problems, and now it’s suddenly acting stubborn…someone please help…Thank you

Jacob

On your Tool Palette, make the foreground or background colors (the 2 squares near the bottom) different.

viol8ion,

When I change from edit in standard mode to edit in quick mask on the tool palette I’m able to access that one particular filter, but I’m not able access others, and when I do try to use that grain filter with it being switched to edit in quick mask, I’m not getting anywhere near the same desired effect with the grain as I did before. Maybe I misinterpreted your directions?
