No, you cannot do that. Only one image can be active at a time.

Can you not automatically brighten all pictures in a group? For some reason, images transferred from my digital camera ALL need to be lightened somewhat. Are you saying you need to do each individually? Is there an "auto-fix" function that will perform this automatically when opening each?

Create an action on one. then run that action as a batch with file> automate> batch.

as for the camera, have you read the manual? if every picture is too dark, there’s usually an adjustment you can make on the camera.
