I have just downloaded the trial download of CS2. The program installed properly and will recognize tiffs, jpegs, and files listed as Kind: Camera Raw. The files it will recognize were .cr2 files from a Canon 20D camera yet have the different Kind:Camera Raw file format. The .cr2 files created on a Canon 30D camera are not recognized files and are listed as Kind: .cr2. It will not open them nor show a preview.
Canon’s proprietary Digital Pro Photo –will– recognize these files. Capture One Pro will also –not– recognize these same files.
CR2 files downloaded thru Canon’s Zoombrowser program and that have not been touched by any other editing program will not appear on PSCS2.
Operating on thrown together computer including Pentium 4 processor, Raedon 9250 graphics card, ram 512mb, windows xp Home edition with service pack 2.
