Exporting layers as files help please

I can export layers as files but i require only the layer as a seperate image and not the image framed in the larger transparent document file (if that makes sense!)

Do you have a lot of them? You could make an action of Ctrl-clicking on the object in the Layers palette and cropping. Run that on the folder after exporting as files.

yes, this was the alternative, ctrl+click on the layer, copy, new document,paste then save for web. thought i may have been able to process all! thanks
