16bit image and hyper-threading

photoshop seems to crash suddenly with various commands on 16bit images, have turned off hyper-threading and given it a bit of a test and seems to work fine. have installed latest multi-core update for cs2. running two dual 3.7 on xp pro. anybody encountered this problem and have a fix, other than turning off hyper-threading?

Josh, it sounds like you don’t have the latest MP plug-in. The first update had a problem with 16-bit images. The latest has a date of 8/11.
