Hi there,

I’m using PS CS2, I am in the middle of designing something and am using text on a path to create a kind of "looping stitch" design, or a line broken at regular short intervals. I am using the minus key then a space the minus and space and so on to create the stitch effect…

My problem is this: when I place the cursor/type icon over the path and click, I am only able to type along a tiny portion of the path. There appears to be two tiny circles along the path which I can only type between. I have done designs using this effect before on CS2 and have never encountered this problem….

Anybody know how to solve this??

Thanks

Andy

Hi Andy,

You probably have "Centre Justified" selectied in your type options.I think what it does is to use the distance from the start of the path to place the small circle on the other side of the cursor so that the text would be centred on the place where you click the path.

Put the cursor over the small circle furthest from the start of the path, and press CTRL. The cursor will change so that there is now a small arrow attached to the cursor. If you now click and drag the circle, you can move it to wherever you want on the path.

Hope this helps.
