Hi All,

This is my first post here, so first of all, "Hi"

I need to create a background similar to the one at <http://www.countrycodes.com> and I’m unsure what the best way to go about it is, especially as I may have to use it for headings etc as well.

I guess it’s probably something incredibly basic that I’m just not thinking about, so if anyone has a tutorial or anything they could direct me to, I’d be incredibly grateful.

Cheers

That site uses a 4px by 4px image in grey with a single diagonal white line going from bottom left to top right.

Download the background image fondo.gif from that page (http://www.countrycodes.com/images/fondo.gif) and look at it to see how it’s made. Very tiny and simple.

I’ve done that now and it works really well – better than I thought it would too, so that’s I’m quite pleased with that.

I may need to use it in a header, with a fade effect on it so that it slowly fades out just under the text. Would you recommend a similar technique?

The Ditherbox plugin (goodies folder on cd) is good for this kind of thing.

I’d heard that ditherbox was now part of imageready?
