Upgrading question from 4.0

I have a full version 4.0 (bundle) that came w/ my scanner years ago. Is there drawbacks to upgrading it to 6.0 upgrade over purchasing the full version? Can I then later upgrade PS6 to PS8 using upgrades?

Can you even find a copy of Ver 6.0 upgrade from a retail vendor?

Go directly to the CS version.

What xiray said. You can go straight from 4.0 to CS if you don’t mind having to call Adobe to get the activation routine to work… —
