Hi,

I would like to know if it exists a way under PS 7 (otherwise under a more recent version) to adapt a picture to a texture.
E.g. I have a table listing
101010101
010101011
101010101
etc, or another showing the repetition of small black circles or triangle, etc

I would like to superimpose over such a mask an image, so that the bright zones or dark of the picture are changed into the mask shape. Do you follow me ?
Any clue to achieve this ? Or does it exists plugin to get this ?

PS. I know than I can create an image made of 50% picture +50% mask or detouring the image, etc. But here the picture itself ‘d be transformed into the mask or almost.

Thanks.

Thierry,

Is the 1010’s etc a sort of binary pattern as in the Matrix? Is it on a text layer? If it is, you can control +click on the text layer icon to "load" a selection of the text. Add a layer mask to the text layer and with this active, fill the selection with black.
You could also load the selection as above, then select your image layer and hit delete to cut out the text shape from your image.
