Photoshop stop opening and goes not responding

On windows XP Pro, my Photoshp CS2 since last week, stop the opening process when it says " reading text global ressources" and I have to end that process because it becomes "not responding"
His there a solution other than reinstalling the application?

1: Try resetting the Preferences File (See the FAQs)

2: Try temporarily moving all but the essential Windows fonts to a temporary folder on your desktop.

3: Try the same thing with your Plug-ins (no need to move them, just put a tilde [~] in front of the file names)

If 2: or 3: cure the problem, reinstate the fonts/Plug-ins 50% at a time until you isolate the culprit.

2. Please start it in the correct forum. This is Photoshop Windows. The word "starter" leads me to believe you are referring to Photoshop Album.

3. When you do get to the right forum, please be more specific when describing your problem.
