I’m using Photoshop version 9.0.2 with Windows XP. Each time I open files saved as a tiff image with a CMYK color mode the entire image gets masked with registration (black). I can open RGB tiff files and all PSD and EPS files with no problems.

I’m also experiencing other general performance issues. I’ve been through the recommended trouble shooting steps I’ve been able to find. I’ve un-installed the entire Adobe Suite and re-installed. I’ve deleted the preferences. I continue to not be able to open the CMYK tiff images properly.

Thanks

You mean the entire image is 100% of all colors? Does the info palette confirm this? I’m thinking your working CMYK profile may be hosed.

It’s the entire image with 100% of all colors. It’s solid where the bacground is white and alters all of the colors making them look darker. The info palette does comfirm this.
