No, but we have in several different ways.

Dont wish to get into arguments, the point I was trying to make is that information that can be easily understood by an experienced user can also be confusing to a newcomer who needs to comprehend it step by step.We learn to read by first understanding the alphabet….
The point of using the forums was because I had spent 40 odd hours experimenting and had run into a brick wall.
I shall now say thanks to you all and draw a line under this subject.

I was reading this thread and simply dragged the alpha channels from open documents to a blank new psd. So now this new document is saved as myselections.psd and simply acts as a bucket for my masks.

Then I can open it up later and drag whatever alpha channels I want into my new image.

Not a bad thing.
