Hi, I just updated my system to vista. I loaded up PS CS2 and now two things are happening. First, when ever I start the program, it askes me reg. Even after I do.
Second, when I automate, it has a hard time rembering the Auto feature. Erich

Yep CS2 has some problems and you will have to buy CS3 to get them fixed. Adobe has made it clear that CS2 will not be updated to be fully compatible with Vista. Welcome to the bleeding edge of technology.

right click on the cs2 launch icon. select "run as administrator". You only need to do it once.

Eric: Try this — Turn off UAC. Run PSCS2. Deal with the reg. screen. Close PSCS2. Turn UAC back on. Now you should be able to run PSCS2 normally without the reg. screen popping up.

This is based on prior posts, not personal experience (I use XP). Let us know if it fixes the problem.

If you run the program as Administrator (right click the shortcut for the option), after the program starts, register the program. It should not bother you again if you start it up as normal.

You will also find (if you use this) that Adobe Gamma applet will not run at startup either but the only way I found to make this run automatically was to turn off User Accounts Control (UAC) – do this from the ‘Security Centre’ from the control panel. But obviously you are now running the PC in full Administrator mode.
