Hello,

I’m trying to create an image of a sheet of paper with a curled corner. I have found an image of a plain white sheet of paper with the curled corner effect, and I’m using this as the background of my image. Over this background, I intend to draw the contents of the page.

But there’s a problem. The paper has a shadow effect under the curled corner. When I draw the contents of the page, the shadow effect is drawn over. I have to draw there because the contents of the page have a different background color than white, so the entire page must be filled.

Is there a way to preserve the shadow effect? What would be nice is some way of darkening each pixel of the content layer (within the shadow effect area), and how strongly to darken it would depend on the darkness of the corresponding pixel in the background layer. Is that possible?

Thanks!

Matt
